Interact is struggling with our membership at the moment. Last term we were essentially just a board of four members when year 12 students left after the HSC. However, in the past few weeks we’ve welcomed some new year 11 students. Our plans for this term are mainly to attract new members. We are going to be running a small beach cleanup in a few weeks and we will be conducting an introductory meeting in the centre of town in two weeks time, for students who might struggle getting to the Senior College after school. This is also to attract members from other schools in the area as at the moment we are limited to membership of only Senior College students.
At the moment we are organising to have a stall at the BU Festival which will be happening in the school holidays as a part of Youth Week. We are also going to be helping out with some annual events such as the Jetty Swims and the Collector’s Fair.
